Yes, you can get paid for participating in this fun event in your favorite game! That though, requires some skill or mere luck.
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places will get a guaranteed prize. However, everyone else outside of the top four have a chance to win aswell. Four of the 12 will win, determined by spin of wheel. A player's name will have to win 3 times in order to win the prize. However, players who have not played all their games will not be participating in this spin of wheel. Additionally, the top 4 players, who have already won a prize, are out of the spin.
In total, 8 players will win a prize, so that makes it half of the participants.

Please note that the prize money will be sent through paypal, so in order to receive your prize, you must have a paypal account (don't worry if you don't yet have one, making one is super easy). Also, one thing to keep in mind is that the value of the prize may decrease when sent due to fees on paypal, especially if converted to another currency. So for example, if you win 5€, it is possible that when you receive the prize money, after all the fees, the amount of money you receive will be worth around ~4.25€.
The rules for this tournament are really simple and short, but they are indeed very important. The short list of rules can be composed to four points:
In the group stage, each match will consist of two rounds or two games. Either one player wins both rounds and thus wins the match, or both players win one round, resulting in a draw. In the playoffs, the matches will be played on "best of three" format, so the player who wins two rounds first wins the match. Additionally, a 2-1 win in the playoffs will be considered an overtime win, and a 1-2 loss will be considered an overtime loss.
In the group stage, matches can end in a win, draw and a loss. In the playoffs there can be only wins and losses, but 2-1 wins will be reffered to as overtime wins and 1-2 losses as overtime losses. A win grants 3 points, an overtime win 2 points, a draw 1 point, an overtime loss 1 point and a loss 0 points.
The positions in groups will be determined by the amount of points. However, if two players are tied up, the better player will be determined by these factors in this order: crown differencial, crowns for, original ranking in the brackets. In the quarter-finals, the pairs will be determined by group positions. Each group winner will face a group runner-up from another group. After the quarter-finals, the semi-finals pairs will be reseeded based on ranking in the groups, so that the number 1 semi-finalist will face the number 4.
Each player must choose ONE deck before the tournament, which they will use for the rest of the tournament. However, ONE card can be changed once per match. This one card change can be done only once in a match, and it can be done in any round.

The players are ranked based on their trophies, and placed on four brackets based on their ranking. The top 1-4 will be put to bracket 1, 5-8 to bracket 2, 9-12 to bracket 3 and 13-16 to bracket 4. The players will then be randomly seeded to the four groups, so that each group has one player from each bracket.

The 16 players are divided into four groups of four based on their positions. The better half of each group will advance to the quarter-finals, while the bottom of each group will be relegated from the next tournament. The third players from all groups will qualify to the next tournament.

The playoff-games will be played in a best-of-three format. The player who achieves two wins first will win the match. The top 8 players that qualified to the quarter-finals will play against an opponent based on their position in their group. In the quarter-finals, each number one of each group will play against each number two from each group, with the best number 1 playing against the worst number 2. In the semifinals, pairs will be based on their ranking in the group-stage. The ranking will work similarly as in the group stage, with the exception that the primary ranking factor is the position in groups. Thus all group winners will place top 4 on the table. The best ranked player will play the worst ranked, and the second best ranked will play the second worst.
